The price of the ISIC is $20.00.
For full-time students who are members of either the Canadian Federation of Students or the Canadian Federation of Students(-Services), the card is issued as a benefit of membership (i.e. the $20.00 fee is waived).
You can now apply for your ISIC online. Click here and you will be guided through the application process. Please make sure you have a photo of yourself, documentation of your student status, and a credit card before proceeding.
You can also apply for an application at dozens of ISIC issuing offices across Canada. Click here for a full list.
If you don't have a credit card, and are not in the vicinity of an ISIC issuing office, you can apply for an ISIC by downloading and mailing in an ISIC application form.
IMPORTANT: If you are a member of the Canadian Federation of Students, you can apply to receive your ISIC as a benefit of membership (free) by visiting an ISIC issuing office, or downloading and mailing in an ISIC application form.
If you are a full-time student at school, college or university, aged 12 or over, you can apply for a student card with ISIC. It's a hassle-free process, and in no time at all you'll be enjoying thousands of discounts and benefits at home and away.
The ISIC card is only for full-time students, so you need to bring the following items to the issuing office:
Being a full time student means that you take at least 16 hours of class a week for a minimum of six months a year.
If you are full-time teacher or aged under 26, you can also enjoy similar benefits to the ISIC card with the International Youth Identity Card (IYTC card) or the International Teachers Identity Card (ITIC).
The standard ISIC card is valid for 16 months, from the start of the academic year in September. Any ISIC issued after September 1 will be valid until December 31 of the following year.
